Private Farm Tours: Available by Reservation

Enjoy a private, guided farm experience at Salt & Light Homestead.

Our Private Farm Tours offer a more intimate, informational, and relaxed way to experience the farm. Because your group will have the tour to itself, we can move at a comfortable pace, spend more time with the animals, answer questions, and tailor the experience to the interests and ages of your guests.

Private tours typically last approximately 60 to 75 minutes.

What to Expect

Your tour will begin near the front of the farm. From there, everyone will climb aboard our hay bale trailer for a ride to the back area of the farm. We will first move to the highland cows for an up-close feeding session. Guests will then have the opportunity to interact with our Nigerian dwarf goats, alpacas, and chickens. Feed cups are included so that everyone can enjoy feeding the animals during the visit.

Throughout the tour, we will share information about the animals, their care, their personalities, and life on our working farm. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

At the end of the tour, your group will ride the trailer back to the front parking area.

Private Tour Pricing

Groups of 1–9 guests: $100 total
Groups of 10–20 guests: $150 total

A Few Things to Know

This is an outdoor farm experience, so please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes that can handle dirt, grass, mud, and uneven ground. Children are welcome but should remain with their adults throughout the tour. Because Salt & Light Homestead is a working farm, animal experiences may vary slightly depending on the weather, timing, and the needs of the animals.
